Project notes

2018-04-30: As of today the primary purpose of this project and the domain is to aid in migrating WordPress from one host to another. The special problem is that the destination host will typically be one of my virtual hosts on Linode or Digital Ocean, and there does not seem to be a good clean way to test a migrated set of files before the DNS transfers. So what I will do (and Muddaubers Ceramics is going to be my first case) is put all the WordPress files in the root directory of this project, copy over the DB, make sure it is all working, then just move everything to the real domain (muddaubersceramics.org). I need to have the virtual host files all set up, but then it will just be a matter of chaning the nameserves at the domain registry. I anticipate some minor complications in the domain being the root of the WordPress files, but I think that will be easy to tweak. I will keep notes here.

This whole set of notes will be under jgw. There will be a root index.php which will have a link pointing here. If I forget and somehow clobber that root file, it will be simple to regenerate. The concept is that the root of the domain should have all the WordPress stuff.
